Changes to Volvo Penta Executive Management Group
Volvo Penta appointed Lennart Börjesson as a new member of its Executive Management Group. As of 1 September, Lennart Börjesson will take up the position of Senior Vice President Planning, Purchasing & Product and Solution Development, replacing Peter Granqvist who will lead Volvo Group’s electromobility technology developments as Senior Vice President Volvo Group Electromobility Technology.
As of 1 September, Lennart Börjesson has been appointed Senior Vice President Planning, Purchasing & Product and Solution Development at Volvo Penta.

Peter Granqvist will take up the position of Senior Vice President for Product Development, Planning and Purchasing, replacing Johan Inden (formerly Carlsson). Granqvist is joining Volvo Penta from DENSO Corporation where he currently is the President and Managing Director for Sweden. He will take up the role on September 1st. Granqvist has a solid foundation in industrial engineering, business management and higher education. During his career at Japanese global automotive supplier DENSO Corporation, he has led large multi-national and complex engineering programs as well as multi-national business divisions, both in Sweden and Japan. As of July 1st, Johan Inden took up the role of President Region Europe, replacing Stefan Carlsson. Inden had held the position of Senior Vice President for Product Development, Planning and Purchasing – and Chief Technology Officer – for four years.
